Job summary

4 Rivers Smokehouse is seeking a back-of-house prep cook in Kissimmee, FL to uphold high standards of food production, labeling, storage, and timely prep. You are a central part of every guest experience by supporting the recipes and maintaining clean, efficient kitchen operations.

Join a team that values speed, accuracy, and teamwork; you will follow FIFO, read prep lists, handle labeling, and operate equipment like tilt skillets, ovens, and slicers to deliver great meals with consistency.

Qualifications

• Must have prior cook or food service experience.
• Ability to read prep lists and follow recipes accurately.
• Knowledge of FIFO and proper food labeling and storage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Adhere to First In First Out (FIFO) guidelines.
• Display knowledge of menu item ingredients and product storage.
• Complete entire prep list in an efficient and timely manner.
• Understand and adhere to proper cooling procedures.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment including tilt skillet, ovens, Buffalo chopper and slicer.
• Safely use knives and other cooking tools.

As a back of house prep cook, your speed and consistency are imperative to our smooth operation and ultimately the satisfaction of our guests.

This includes:

Following 4R recipes, reading and understanding prep lists and properly labeling, storing and rotating product.

Prepping items that are the backbone of all of our recipes. You are a central part of every guest experience and every meal we serve.

4 Rivers Smokehouse began with the launch of the "Barbecue Ministry" in 2004, when John hosted a cookout fundraiser to support a local family whose young daughter was battling cancer. This one event resulted in a passion for supporting local schools, churches, and charitable organizations. After trials, tribulations, and a whole lot of burnt ends, we finally flipped that "Hot Brisket Now" sign on in October of 2009. Within the first hour, a line had formed out the door... and then around the corner.
