Job summary

The Perry Hotel Naples is seeking an in-house cook to support daily kitchen operations. You will prepare and organize the station, learn menus and recipes, and ensure proper storage and temperatures to maintain quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating with other kitchen departments, enforcing portion controls, and preparing food for shifts while maintaining sanitation and teamwork throughout the operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; previous cook experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the station and cooking all food necessary to start serving.
• Learn menus, recipes, presentation, and preparation methods.
• Ensure that all food is stored in proper containers and at proper storage and holding temperatures.
• Cook only sufficient food in advance to cover expected business volume and to maintain quality.
• Enforce all controls as required such as portion control, employee meals, and stock rotation.
• Prepare all food needed by other kitchen departments which is best prepared by this department.
• Prepare all food for next shift and for the following day as required and directed.
• Work with all employees as a team to ensure smooth operation of food production and meal on shift changes.
• Facilitate shift changes and relay pertinent information to supervisor and/or next shift employees.
• Maintain the work area, including counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration equipment in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Maintain personal hygiene in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and laws.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
