Job summary

Remington Hospitality is seeking an experienced Line Cook in Austin, TX to prepare menu items following recipes and yield guides, and to assist during busy shifts.

Responsibilities include starting daily prep, coordinating with the Sous Chef and station cooks, setting up mis en place, and maintaining proper storage and food handling per Health Department requirements.

Qualifications

• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Meet with Sous Chef/Station Cooks to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes impacting job performance.
• Start prep work for the daily menu and assist Line Cooks throughout the shift.
• Set up station with mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies; breakdown stations and complete closing duties at day end.
• Maintain proper storage procedures per Health Department and hotel requirements; follow food handling guidelines.
