Jg Chicken in Irvine, CA is seeking an entry-level Line Cook to assist with food preparation, plating, and quality control in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work alongside head chefs to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain clean, organized work areas.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a High School diploma or higher, and a willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays. ServSafe certification is a plus.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Position: Line Cook

Job Summary

Kitchen Line Cooks are responsible for food preparation, presentation, recipe adherence and quality control. All while working alongside top chefs.

Duties

• Perform daily operations, including Kitchen Prep, Cooking, Plating, etc.
• Properly clean and sanitize all counters and work areas. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Must be able to multitask and adapt to any pace.
• Properly supervise food prep to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Meet store operating policies and standards.
• MUST BE AT LEAST 18+ YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY.
• High School diploma or higher.
• Fast food or retail experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to continuously stand or walk.
• Ability to bend and lift frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to squat occasionally.

Work Environment

• Work will be conducted in a kitchen and restaurant environment.
• May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment.
• May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces.
• Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
