Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for guests, maintaining quality and presentation.
• Use kitchen equipment and appliances efficiently.
• Read and follow basic instructions, production lists, menus, and banquet event orders.
• Complete accurate record-keeping and maintain sanitation standards.
• Adhere to health department regulations for safe food handling.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Culinary arts training or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to use kitchen equipment, read and interpret written instructions, and maintain food safety practices.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods without sitting or leaning.
• Bend, stoop, and reach while carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Lift, carry, and deliver food items weighing up to 50 pounds during a scheduled shift.
• Tolerate high temperatures (up to 500°F ovens) and low temperatures (40°F walk-in refrigerators).
• Walk continuously throughout a 10‑hour shift.
