Job summary

Loews Nashville Hotel is seeking an experienced cook to join our kitchen team in a luxury hotel setting on West End. You will set up your work area, prepare and store high-quality ingredients, and follow standardized recipes to create plated dishes with consistent presentation.

Candidates should have 3+ years of cooking in upscale venues, familiarity with food safety standards, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or restaurant.
  • Certification as Cook from a recognized culinary training school.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and organize work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, and rotate food products to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Prepare and store raw ingredients following recipes and guidelines.
  • Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines for menu items.
  • Monitor finish quality and ensure timely service; alert supervisor of delays.
  • Adhere to government food sanitation standards at all times.
  • Maintain clean and sanitized work surfaces and proper storage at shift end.
  • Ensure safe use of knives and equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Assist with closing side work and maintain kitchen security after shifts.
