Job summary

Uchiko Austin, part of Hai Hospitality, is hiring Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. You will help create amazing dining experiences for guests, work in a fast-paced environment, and support the station with prep and plating.

We offer benefits and opportunities to grow within the organization. Compensation ranges from $19 to $21 per hour based on experience, plus benefits, and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, stock inventory and restock duties.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Maintain a neat, hygienic workspace and proper surface cleaning.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills and knives.
• Understand directives and communicate with Leadership.
• Be adaptable to hot and cold working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to specification and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and organized station during service.
• Restock ingredients and assist with inventory as needed.
• Support safety and allergen guidelines across the kitchen.
• Move quickly to assist teammates and respond to guest needs.
