Job summary

O.H.S.O. is seeking dependable Line Cooks to join a fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items per recipes and standards, supporting the kitchen team to keep service smooth and timely. Stations may include sauté, grill, fry, pantry, or prep, with collaboration from Executive and Sous Chefs.

Ideal candidates communicate well, stay focused under pressure, and are flexible to assist across the kitchen. This full-time role offers growth within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and communication.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety procedures.
• Ability to stand for six to nine hours.
• Ability to safely lift, bend, reach, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock assigned stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, preparing sauces, and handling proteins.
• Cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and guest requests.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure food is prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Follow instructions from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen leadership.
• Maintain proper food quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Keep stations clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Properly label, store, rotate, and care for leftover food.
• Restock inventory and supplies as needed.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and guests.
• Step in wherever needed to support the kitchen team.
