You will adhere to food safety guidelines, monitor temperatures, label and rotate stock, and maintain a clean, efficient work area. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of kitchen prep and cooking experience, strong teamwork, and clear communication with managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking (as stated).
• Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
• Energetic multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently prepare, cook, plate and finish all food items according to Black Bear Diner procedures and standards.
• Comply with all food safety requirements such as temperature checks, dating/labeling, rotating products.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food at line stations; portion food according to standard sizes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and kitchen equipment.
• Assist in food prep during off-peak periods and close the kitchen correctly.
