Job summary

Zinc Café & Market is a restaurant and market seeking a Line Cook to collaborate with our kitchen team and deliver great food in a busy setting. You will follow recipes, maintain stations, and ensure quality and cleanliness while contributing to a positive guest experience.

We value teamwork, adaptability, and a willingness to grow your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment. Prior line cook experience preferred; health and safety standards are a must.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• 1+ year in a line cook position at a casual dining restaurant or similar experience.
• Basic food, kitchen equipment and prepping knowledge.
• Must be able to read tickets on screen.
• Food handlers certification.
• Work Authorization: United States Citizen or Undocumented Noncitizen authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Display working knowledge of all ingredients and preparation used on the menu
• Follow company recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications
• Maintain a fully stocked station throughout each shift and ensure that all food meets company standards
• Consistently ensure station is clean and organized
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and embody an environment of teamwork
• Demonstrate an eagerness to refine skills and desire to learn and grow
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
• Handle varying levels of business volume with composure & a positive attitude
• Perform all opening and closing duties assigned by managers
• Follow all safety and state guidelines for preventing transmission of Covid-19 and other illnesses
