Job summary

Emerald Heights, a 5 star retirement community in Redmond, WA, seeks an energetic Cook to plan, prepare and cook nutritious cuisine for residents. Join an upscale kitchen on 38 acres with a team of talented professionals and benefits, including paid medical, dental, vision and 403b matching.

Pay range is $21–$25 per hour with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule (1pm–9:30pm). We offer tuition reimbursement, EAP, gym/pool, free parking and a meal on shift.

• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, and supervisor instructions.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
• Operate food station, including performing station checklist, temperature log, counter meeting, and signage.
• Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.

As a cook you will help plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for our residents. Pay:$21-$25

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 1pm-9:30pm

We offer:

• 100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20+ hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.
