THE ROLE

A specialized kitchen staff member responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items at a specific station (e.g., grill, sauté, pantry) to exact recipe standards. They handle food prep, maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards, and work rapidly to manage, often under pressure, during service.
