Job summary

Cinemark USA, Inc. is seeking a Line Cook to support our fast-paced kitchen operations in Raleigh, NC. You’ll follow approved recipes, manage prep lists, and keep areas clean to ensure guests receive hot, fresh meals during busy showtimes.

We value high energy, teamwork, and a courteous service mindset. Must be at least 16, complete basic food handling training, and be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Completes basic food handling training and any local/state mandated certification or health card.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all required items in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls.
• Follows and executes prep lists daily.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of all food products according to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborates with server team to ensure food orders are accurate.
• Cleans food preparation area and equipment after each use.
• Responsible for opening or closing a workstation as scheduled.
• Provides a professional image through Cinemark culinary attire.
• Ensures SOPs and safety/sanitation standards are met.
• Wipes down high-contact areas and uses PPE appropriately.
• Monitors safety issues and reports to management.

Ideal candidates have a strong desire to pursue culinary career paths in the future.Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities of a Line Cook include, but are not limited to, the following:Prepares all required items in accordance with approved recipes and portion controlsFollows and executes prep lists dailyMaintains cleanliness and proper storage of all food products in accordance with health and safety regulationsMaintains policies and procedures to minimize food waste and theftCollaborates with server team to ensure that food orders are accurateCleans food preparation area and equipment after each use - excluding assembling/ disassembling the pizza dough sheeter if under 18Responsible for opening or closing a workstation (depending on scheduled shift)Provides a professional image at all times through proper Cinemark culinary attireEnsures that standard operating procedures and all preventative maintenance, safety, sanitation are consistently achievedConsistently wipes down and sanitizes Employee and Guest high-contact areasProperly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position-specific tasksAdapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasksMonitors safety and or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports issues to managementPerforms other work-related duties as assignedRequirements:Must be at least 16 years of ageCompletes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where requiredTeam Members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training programAvailability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidaysRequires regular and consistent attendanceHas an energetic and friendly attitude during each shiftProvides excellent Guest serviceInterpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities.
