Job summary

Snooze is hiring a Line Cook for our breakfast-focused restaurant. You will ensure each dish meets high quality and safety standards, and support the kitchen in a fast-paced, team-based setting.

We offer weekly pay, no late nights, meals, insurance options, and opportunities for development. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work up to 10 hours standing.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant industry experience required.
• Fast-paced, high-volume environment experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety, and timeliness of dishes.
• Know menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety basics.
• Prepare varieties of food using knives, mixers, blenders, processors, scales and bags.
• Cook with ovens, stoves, griddles and broilers.
• Keep work station clean and sanitary.
• Handle products per Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

The Position Specifics

The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. The best pancakes in all the land is in the hands of our Line Cooks. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

Is This Role For you?

Line Cooks at Snooze are...

• fun, energetic, eager and a committed team member.
• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
