Job summary

Dave & Buster’s/Main Event Entertainment is seeking a Line Cook in Phoenix, AZ. You will prepare and cook menu items according to recipes andQuality standards, while maintaining food safety and station cleanliness.

You will work with the service team to ensure orders are accurate and delivered hot, while minimizing waste and following safety procedures. Joining the team offers opportunities for growth and a dynamic, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of Line Cook or Prep Cook experience.
• 18+ years of age with Food Handlers Certification as required.
• Adhere to uniform standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate with team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Upholding cleanliness and safety standards
• Prepping and cooking all menu items according to recipes
• Minimizing food waste by proper portions and ticket accuracy
• Partnering with the service team to ensure timely, fresh deliveries
• Adhering to health department procedures and safety rules
• Safely operating kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean and stocked station before, during, and after shifts
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties as assigned

At Dave & Buster’s/Main Event Entertainment, our Line Cooks prepare unforgettably delicious food that keeps our Guests coming back for more! As a Line Cook, you are passionate about our ingredients, food quality standards and delivering a consistent Guest experience! You are an expert on our prep and spec recipes, operational standards, equipment and utensils. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Prepping and cooking all menu items according to recipes standards
• Helping minimize food waste by creating proper portions, staying vigilant for ticket errors, and communicating with expo
• Partnering with the service team to ensure food is accurate, delivered fresh and in a timely manner
• Adhering to all company and health department food safety procedures
• Properly and safely operating kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean and stocked station before, during and after each shift
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 6 months of Line Cook and/or Prep Cook experience
• 18 + years of age; Food Handlers Certification, as required
• Comply with the company uniform standards
• Always be ready to create a memorable guest experience
• Teamwork is a must (Remember, teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays (subject to business needs)
