Job summary

Weekender Hotels is seeking a Line Cook I to support the kitchen team, preparing and cooking items and maintaining station cleanliness. You will learn proper cooking techniques in a fast-paced environment and grow with our young, mission-driven company.

Weekend, evening and holiday shifts during peak season are required; ServSafe certification is preferred but not required. Opportunities exist to advance as the team thrives in iconic destinations.

Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience in grill, sauté, fry, and prep.
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to stand for long periods in a hot kitchen.
  • Dependable, punctual, and with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability during peak season.
  • ServSafe or food handler certification preferred but not required.

  • Support other kitchen stations when needed.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Line Cook I, you’ll support the kitchen team by preparing and cooking food items under supervision, maintaining cleanliness and organization of your station, and following recipes and safety standards. This role focuses on learning proper cooking techniques, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and ensuring consistency and quality for every guest.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and cook menu items as directed, following portioning and recipe guidelines.
  • Set up and stock your station with necessary ingredients and supplies.

  • Minimal waste, errors, or guest complaints related to food prep.
Qualifications

17 - 24 USD per hour(North Creek, NY)

17 - 24 USD per hour(Old Forge, NY)

17 - 24 USD per hour(Killington, VT)
