Job summary

Applebee’s is hiring a Line Cook to handle all prep, set up the cook station, and maintain presentation, quality, and timing for menu items following Applebee’s recipes and standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in a casual dining setting, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant state certifications. Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to meet the physical demands of a kitchen are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry, preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current alcohol and food certifications that meet state requirements are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.

Responsibilities

• As the Line Cook, you will be responsible for completing all assigned prep work, setting up the cook’s station, and maintaining product presentation, product quality, and cook time standards. This role will prepare all menu items according to Applebee’s Recipes, Plate Presentations, and specifications.
