Job summary

Champions Social Club in Dallas is seeking a Line Cook to deliver the elevated culinary experience our members expect. You will prepare and cook menu items following established recipes, maintain quality and presentation, and support a fast-paced kitchen.

The ideal candidate thrives in a team setting, upholds food safety and cleanliness, and can handle flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years restaurant experience preferred.
  • Current Food Handler Certification and valid Driver’s License required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Reliable attendance and flexible availability, including weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to consistency, quality, and presentation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain assigned stations with all necessary ingredients, equipment, and supplies for service.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, proper cooking techniques, portion standards, and presentation expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure accurate and timely execution of menu items during service.
  • Follow established procedures for allergies, dietary restrictions, and special member requests.
  • Properly handle, label, date, store, and rotate food products according to FIFO standards and food safety requirements.
  • Monitor the freshness, quality, and condition of ingredients and communicate any concerns to culinary leadership.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift, including proper care of kitchen equipment and utensils.

About the Role

TheLine Cook plays an essential role in delivering the elevated culinary experience expected at Champions Social Club. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and proper cooking techniques while maintaining consistency, quality, and timeliness throughout service.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen, takes pride in their craft, and maintains high standards for food quality, organization, cleanliness, and food safety.

Responsibilities

  • Report unsafe working conditions, equipment concerns, maintenance needs, product shortages, or other operational issues to management.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful approach when working with team members and leadership.
  • Assist with opening, closing, preparation, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred; upscale, fine dining, steakhouse, or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of basic cooking methods, kitchen equipment, food preparation, and food safety practices.
  • Current Food Handler Certification and valid Driver’s License required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • Reliable attendance, flexible availability, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of restaurant or food service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency, quality, and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Ability to adhere to Champions Social Club policies, procedures, grooming standards, and code of conduct.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate knives, kitchen utensils, and commercial food preparation equipment.
  • Ability to work in a commercial kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, cold temperatures, wet surfaces, and cooking equipment.
