Position Summary

As the Line Cook you will assist the Vintage House Chef with all aspects of the kitchen for the restaurant and food production.

Essential Functions
  • Preparation of meals for The Vintage House restaurant, events, banquets and catering
  • Follow recipes without deviation
  • Assist in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing fruits and vegetables as well as marinating meats within a timely manner
  • Preparing soups, salads, and sauces as instructed
  • Responsible for meeting Messina Hof standards of fine dining presentation on all dishes
  • Kitchen set up – opening & closing procedures
  • Maintain a high level of sanitation in kitchen areas
  • Maintain a low amount of waste through proper recipe adherence
  • Ensure all food production meets the standards set by Messina Hof
  • Ensure all recipes and standard operating procedures set by Messina Hof are followed
  • Maintenance of a 95 or better health department inspection rating
  • Perform other duties as required, including assisting other departments as needed
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of relevant restaurant experience
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to read and follow a recipe
  • Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times
Physical Demands
