Position Summary

Our cooks enjoy a range of responsibilities and have the opportunity to grow and work in our casual restaurant that caters as well as serves customers daily for lunch and dinner. Our culinary staff is the key to Craft's success! All staff members are tipped and pay can increase in excess of $19 an hour with excellent food service and increased business!

Primary Responsibilities

• Receiving and ordering products. Properly labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepped items for the line.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up, stocking, and breaking down all kitchen equipment. Opening team preps for the line and expo stations.
• Making prep recipes and menu products to spec. Properly reading items printed on order tickets or automated Kitchen Display System. Assemble orders, double-checking product quality and specifications. Staff is trained to have impeccable product knowledge.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, line, expo, dish room, and back dock. Cleaning dishes and operating a dish machine are part of the skills required for this position.
• Communicating professionally with co-workers and Front-of-the-House staff. Acting as a liaison between the Heart-of-the-House and Front-of-the-House staff.
• Practicing safety and sanitation standards is a must for all positions.

Job Requirements

• Candidates must be the minimum legal age to be employed.
• Candidates must perform duties that require bending & reaching.
• Candidates must display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers. Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
• Lifting & transporting containers, dish racks, and trash cans. Standing or moving, for up to 8+ hours. Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion. Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow all uniform guidelines.
• Practice all general safety & sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
