Job summary

Es Vedra Cinemas in Austin, TX is seeking a Line Cook to join our busy kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items to meet our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation, contributing to an outstanding dining experience for guests.

The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork with the kitchen staff. Previous line cook experience and a State Food Handler certificate are preferred, with weekend shifts and holidays

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training a plus.
• Experience as line cook or in a similar role required.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
• State Food Handler certificate required.
• Availability to work holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all dishes are made to order and meet presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Ensure ingredients and supplies are readily available and properly stored.
• Monitor food quality and freshness.
• Ensure dishes are prepared to the correct temperature and standards.
• Work with kitchen team to coordinate orders and timely service.
• Communicate effectively with the team to manage kitchen workflow.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organize workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory checks and notify Kitchen Manager of low stock levels.
• Ensure food storage areas are organized and stocked.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

Job Description

As a Line Cook at Es Vedra Cinemas, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking menu items to perfection. You will ensure that all food served meets our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation, contributing to an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all dishes are made to order and meet presentation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
• Able to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights and repetitive motion
