Job summary

Fitzwater Outdoor Maintenance in Dayton, OH is seeking Line Clearance Tree Trimmers / Climbers to trim vegetation around overhead electric lines and maintain rights of way. You will operate chainsaws, chippers, and rigging gear, often working up to 16-hour days during storm restoration, while following OSHA/ANSI safety rules.

The role is full-time with competitive pay, sign-on and referral bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. Commuting to Dayton, OH is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to trim trees around energized conductors.
• Climb using rope and saddle equipment.
• Identify electrical systems and maintain safety.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Trims and clears lines of vegetation as directed by crew leader.
• Operates a chipper, chain saws, and other equipment.
• Works near energized lines with required clearance.
• May act as flagger to direct traffic.
• Maintains and sharpens chainsaws and tools.
• May apply herbicide to vegetation.
• Trims or removes hazardous trees near lines.
• Cleans debris and assists team members.
