Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a full-time team member for a food manufacturing environment in California. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour for 2nd shift, with opportunities for advancement.

You will unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, standing on concrete, and flexibility for weekends/overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on concrete floors.
• Rotating schedules including weekends and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throw out or fix as necessary; document waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with USDA, OSHA, state, federal, and company regulations (GMPs and safety).

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
