Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate X-ray equipment, following standard procedures and physician instructions while delivering care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

The role requires SCRQSA Limited Practice Radiographer certification in at least one designation, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of PACS/HIS, anatomy, and patient safety. Collaboration with the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• SCRQSA Limited Practice Radiographer certification in at least one designation (General, Chest, Podiatric, Chiropractic or Bone Densitometry).
• Must understand anatomy and radiology computer systems; ability to treat patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment following standard procedures and physician instructions.
• Apply knowledge of radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Determine exposure factors to optimize radiographic technique.
• Use PACS/HIS to provide quality images for interpretation.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms; assist with referrals, appointments, and procedures.
• Provide patient interview, chaperone, and assist with minor procedures.
