High 5 Hospitality LLC is seeking a Line Cook to support our growing hospitality group. You will help prepare smoked meats, manage station operations, and ensure meals meet recipe standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification preferred; training provided if needed.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparing smoked meat, ordering, receiving, and storing food and supply products.
• Be responsible for the operation of all HOH stations as directed by the Pit Boss.
• Smoking meats under the direction of the Leadership
• Preparing food items consistently to recipe specifications
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
• This position is an evening position, but you must be flexible and willing to work weekends and possibly holidays.

Position Overview

The Heart of House plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations, ensuring that all behind-the-scenes functions are executed efficiently and to the highest standard. These positions are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting in food preparation, managing inventory, or performing maintenance tasks that support the smooth running of front-facing guest services. They are also responsible for plating entrees so they are appealing to the eye and represent the quality and integrity of the dish. This position has direct contact with customers. Heart of House staff ensure that all operational systems run smoothly to enhance the overall guest experience which in turn creates guest loyalty by consistently and accurately preparing food.

The Line Cook is the unsung hero of this show we call BBQ. This position is unique in that you get an hourly wage PLUS TIPS!

Education and Skills required

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Proficient knife skills
• ServSafe Certified (we will provide training if needed)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in teams

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely lift bags, cases, or stacks weighing up to 25lbs. There may be some tasks that require bending and reaching as well.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• The noise level at times can be moderate.
