Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
• Mechanical and electrical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to work with internal and external team members.
• Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Lighting design knowledge a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and define customer's values and technical requirements for each project.
• Define appropriate solution using Musco products and documentation to support sales strategy.
• Create custom lighting solutions using proprietary software.
• Create production documents including bill of materials, loading list, and special build drawings.
• Review project specs and bid plans to ensure codes and requirements are met.
• Communicate technical information clearly to architects, engineers, specifiers, sales reps, contractors and team members.
• Design/apply custom controls.
• Provide initial and secondary checks of production documents for accuracy.
• Prepare technical presentations and drawings using CAD and other software.
• Fine-tune field aim of Musco products.
• Other duties as assigned.
