Job summary

Turtle is seeking a Lighting Manager in La Porte, TX to support architectural lighting projects from sales through delivery. You will guide design solutions, help develop budgets and proposals, and coordinate equipment planning with installers and contractors.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 5 years of experience in lighting project sales and management; proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; and strong written and verbal communication.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in sales & project management of lighting projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and design assistance for architectural lighting control and LED systems to the sales team.
• Assist with budgeting, technical design, bidding, construction and close-out for lighting projects.
• Review and take-offs of architectural and electrical drawings and bid documents.
• Create bill of materials and quotations for lighting fixtures and control systems.
• Coordinate ordering, tracking and delivery of equipment; liaise with contractors for installation.

About the Role

The Lighting Manager supports the successful delivery of architectural lighting projects by providing technical expertise, guiding design solutions, and coordinating project execution. Working closely with the sales team and contractors, this role helps shape lighting designs, develops budgets and proposals, and oversees equipment planning and installation to ensure projects run smoothly from concept through close-out.

What You'll Do:

• Provide technical support and design assistance for architectural lighting control and LED lighting systems to our sales team in the Gulf Region.
• Assist with budgeting, technical design, bidding, construction and close-out for lighting projects.
• Review and do take-offs of architectural and electrical drawings and bid documents.
• Create bill of materials and quotations for lighting fixtures and control systems.
• Ordering, tracking and coordinating delivery of equipment.
• Coordinate installation of fixtures and controls with the contractors.

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Have 5 years’ experience in sales & project management of lighting projects.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and be able to learn new software easily.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills (organized, prioritized, succinct).
• Be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work both independently and collaboratively, and function well under pressure.
