Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking a Lighting Intern to join our team and contribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. You will gain hands-on experience while working with leaders in architecture and engineering.

The role offers an hourly rate, hybrid work, and access to a global network of experts, with opportunities to develop daylighting analysis, visualization, and design strategies across diverse projects.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Lighting, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience in architecture, lighting, or building systems design.
  • Familiarity with AGI, Revit, Enscape, and Photoshop is a plus.
  • Experience in 3ds Max, ElumTools, Grasshopper, or Rhino is a bonus.
  • Strong communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Portfolio of design, visualization, or lighting-related work encouraged.

Your key duties

Your skills and experience
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Lighting, or Architectural Engineering
  • Coursework and/or experience in architecture (studio and/or history), lighting, or building systems design
  • Experience using AGI, Revit, Enscape, and Photoshop beneficial
  • Experience in 3ds Max, ElumTools, Grasshopper, or Rhino a bonus
  • Interest in the lighting design industry with an emphasis on architectural lighting design or daylighting analysis
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
  • Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
