Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking a Lighting Design Intern for our Seattle, WA team. You will contribute to lighting calculations, luminaire selections, and interior-architectural design integration while supporting project narratives and timelines.

The role targets a 3rd year undergraduate student with a passion for sustainable design and clear communication within building design projects. This is an on-site, hybrid-friendly internship at our Seattle office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in lighting design or a related field.
• Interest in the Building Design industry and sustainable solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide photo realistic renderings.
• Perform lighting calculations and luminaire placement.
• Contribute to photometric reviews and documentation.
• Assist in interior and architectural design integration.
• Develop project narratives and summaries.
• Support general project timeline and progress tracking.

What We Offer

Hourly base rate: $24.00

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered.
