Job summary

Sutton Road Training Centre is seeking Light Vehicle Trainers to deliver advanced driving instruction and classroom presentation of risk-reduction techniques. Trainers will lead hands-on driving practice, coach students on vehicle handling, and ensure proper administrative support for program delivery.

Candidates must holdTAE40122 and TLI41222 qualifications (or equivalents) and have First Aid/CPR, vulnerable persons checks, a clean driving history, and a health assessment.

Qualifications

• TAE40122 or equivalent qualifications.
• Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training or equivalent, or the ability to obtain it.
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
• Five-year driving history
• Commercial driver’s health assessment

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced vehicle handling and classroom presentation skills.
• Lead hands-on driving training sessions and risk-reduction practices.
• Administer program administration tasks and student assessments.

About The Role

Light Vehicle Trainers

Our light vehicle training team provide students with quality, risk reduction driving practices and hands-on defensive and tactical training. Our programs include driving to the conditions, motorcade, surveillance, high-threat and armoured vehicle training. As a trainer you will be required to demonstrate advanced vehicle, classroom presentation and administrative skills.

Trainers Require The Following Qualifications

• TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or TAE40116 with LLN), or the ability to obtain the qualification.
• TLI41222 – Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training / Car Driving Instruction (or TLI41218 / TLI41221 Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction), or the ability to obtain the qualification.

Trainers Also Require

• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
• Five-year driving history
• A commercial driver’s health assessment
