Are you a Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift) with experience in Foundry operations, seeking a chance to advance in a safety-centric environment and grow professionally? Emerson’s Appleton Foundry offers an outstanding opportunity for you! Located in South Milwaukee, WI, you'll join a top-tier team, leading all aspects of 2nd shift maintenance operations and personnel. Your role involves coordinating and guiding your team in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment while adhering to safety protocols and efficient maintenance systems. In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  1. Supervising a maintenance team's daily tasks, covering electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and facility repairs.
  2. Upholding and supervising the safety program within the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  3. Encouraging collaboration among maintenance personnel, encouraging teamwork and collective effort.
  4. Ensuring equipment maintenance aligns with environmental requirements.
  5. Contributing to the development and upkeep of a Preventative Maintenance and Part Inventory program.
  6. Evaluating equipment performance and identifying vital repairs to improve machine uptime.

For this role, you will need:

  1. A high school diploma is required (some college and/or additional training / certificates preferred).
  2. Relevant years of proven experience in a foundry environment commensurate with the level of this position.
  3. Supervisory experience in a maintenance environment with mechanical and electrical understanding.
  4. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  5. Ability to read equipment blueprints.
  6. Ability to spend the majority of the day on the floor walking/standing.
  7. Available to work weekends to support production, work on projects or PMs.
  8. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  1. 5+ years of proven experience in a green sand iron foundry.
  2. DISA Vertical molding, Inductotherm induction furnaces, and Isocure core make a strong plus.
  3. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
  4. Understand the workings and functionality of PLC controls (ability to program a plus but not required).
  5. Experience in working with a multitude of contractors for various projects and tracking project timelines.
  6. Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
  7. Understanding of lean principles including Poke Yoke, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
  8. Prior experience installing a new CMMS system.
