Job summary

Somerset Auto Repair is seeking a Diesel Automotive Technician to join our Somerset, KY team. You must have 5+ years of automotive and/or light-duty diesel experience and your own tools.

This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing light-duty diesel and gas vehicles in a clean, well-equipped shop with modern equipment. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, a 4-day work week option, paid PTO and holidays, full benefits, ongoing training, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive and/or light-duty diesel technician experience.
• Must have own tools and toolbox.
• Ability to diagnose and repair light-duty diesel vehicles.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive and light-duty diesel vehicles accurately and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on gas and light-duty diesel vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Diagnose and repair light-duty diesel systems and components.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors.
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
