Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to service customers and perform cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and parts removal. This role includes installation with manuals, disassembly, reassembly, and evaluating parts reuse.

You will read job orders, diagnose malfunctions by listening to the vehicle, inspect safety devices, and maintain positive customer relationships. A GED or high school diploma and 2 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience are required; a valid

• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.

A Diesel Service Technician is responsible for providing service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. This can include: cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments. Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
