Job summary

United Uptime Services is seeking an experienced Light Duty Construction Technician in the El Paso, TX area to support fueling system installations, tank and dispenser work, and site preparation. You will perform concrete work, frame and finish small structures, and operate trucks and loaders while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean record, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel occasionally and out of town including overnight stays.
• Professional demeanor with customer relations and superior service.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• CDL Class A preferred; company will pay to certify.
• Construction experience and heavy equipment operation a plus.
• Troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacements.
• Framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete.
• Operate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, and man-lift following safety protocols.
• Ensure safe housekeeping and daily job cleanup.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
• Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks with codes, project specs, and manufacturer requirements.
• Build and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.

United Uptime Services, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Light Duty Construction Technician in El Paso, TX area. Light Duty Construction Technician, also known as Heavy Maintenance Technician, will assist in the installation of fueling systems including Installing underground and aboveground tanks, installing fuel dispensers, cleaning and replacing spill containment systems, busting and removal of concrete, piping, electrical wiring, excavating, and other petroleum related work.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacements
• Framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete
• Operate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocols
• Ensure safe housekeeping practices are always followed, including job cleanup at the end of each day
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order
• Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, clients, and supervisors)

• Must be willing to travel occasionally and work out of town including overnight stays; amount of travel will vary
• Exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
• Pass a drug test and background check. (required)
• Class A CDL Preferred, but will pay to certify the right individual
• Experience in construction work helpful and any heavy equipment operation is a PLUS
• Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
