Job summary

Marquise is seeking a Light Duty Cleaner to perform general custodial tasks in designated areas of a building. You will dust, mop, clean washrooms, restock supplies, complete equipment checks, and follow health and safety procedures, with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, waste removal, and operating cleaning equipment such as an I-mop and vacuum, while maintaining a safe, clean environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
• Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as I-mop and vacuum.
• Physically able to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, clean washroom fixtures, spot clean, empty trash and vacuum carpets.
• Vacuum and clean designated areas and maintain cleanliness in common areas.
• Restock dispensers with soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins.
• Perform periodic equipment checks and report issues.
• Follow health and safety procedures and policies.

Description

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying, and cleaning ashtrays and vacuuming carpets.

As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will:

• Perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned (duties include but are not limited to use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and other common areas)
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Complete periodic equipment checks
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies

About you:

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum.)
