Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Lifting & Transportation Trainee to join a structured two-year program designed to build your skills from the ground up and launch a long-term career in the crane and rigging industry.

You'll rotate across shop, yard, and field operations, gain hands-on experience with cranes and heavy transport, and prepare to support projects in energy, construction, and infrastructure while growing in a safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work safely in a hands-on environment.
• Willingness to travel and commit to the full training program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 2-year rotational training program across shop, yard, and field operations.
• Gain hands-on experience with cranes, rigging equipment, and heavy transport systems.
• Rotate through fabrication, load testing, and job site operations (3–6 months per rotation).
• Learn to support real-world projects across energy, construction, and infrastructure.
• Build technical skills in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.
