Reynolds Consumer Products in Concord, NC is seeking a Lift Truck Operator Trainee for the night shift to support the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods in a busy plant. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Manufacturing or distribution experience.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
  • Ability to perform basic math and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and stage incoming materials to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Transport raw materials, WIP, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver production materials to support schedules and customer requirements.
  • Load and unload vendor and carrier shipments while maintaining shipping accuracy.
  • Maintain organized storage locations to promote efficient material flow.

We currently have an opportunity for a Lift Truck Operator Trainee at our Manufacturing Plant in Concord, NC.

NIGHT SHIFT HOURS
(12 Hour Shift)
Responsibilities

The Lift Truck Operator Trainee provides safe and efficient movement of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to support continuous manufacturing and distribution operations. Partners with production and warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy, ensure timely material flow, and support operational performance while developing proficiency in lift truck operations. Works under established procedures with increasing independence as skills are demonstrated, contributing to workplace safety, quality, and customer service objectives.

Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, inspect, store, and stage incoming materials to ensure accurate inventory and uninterrupted production.
  • Transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver production materials to support manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.
  • Load and unload vendor and carrier shipments while maintaining product integrity and shipping accuracy.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by investigating and resolving routine inventory discrepancies.
  • Execute material transactions and warehouse documentation to support inventory control and traceability.
  • Maintain organized storage locations that promote efficient material flow and inventory accessibility.
Safety & Equipment
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles and material handling equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance activities on warehouse equipment to support reliable operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment through routine housekeeping activities.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
  • Communicate effectively with production and warehouse personnel to coordinate material movement and operational priorities.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members to promote safe and consistent warehouse practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance warehouse efficiency, safety, and service levels.

Education/Experience
Requirements
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate powered industrial trucks.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
