Job summary

Bronco Wine Company in Ceres, CA is seeking a Lift Truck Operator I to join our onsite shipping team. This full-time role reports to the Shift Supervisor and requires forklift operation, safe handling of palletized wine, and adherence to ISO9001, HACCP, and GMP.

You will load and stage orders, palletize cases, rotate inventory using FIFO, and help maintain a safe, clean warehouse while learning our IFS, ALS and ScanWorks WMS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience driving/back up STN Bobtail trucks.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn warehouse procedures and safety rules.
• Basic computer literacy to use WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks per loading document with correct label, variety, size, and vintage.
• Stage and load product according to picking documents.
• Unload incoming materials and transport to storage areas.
• Palletize cases and ensure safe weight distribution.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow SOPs.
• Participate in all warehouse functions and team safety meetings.
• Operate forklift and related equipment under supervision.

JOB STATEMENT

The Lift Truck Operator must know all phases of the shipping operation including but not limited to: Loading of truck per loading document with correct label, variety, size, and vintage in a safe and efficient manner, Staging of orders with above requirements.Shuttle / stacking of product between warehouses and Picking/Palletizing cases of wine as needed.

• Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
• Stage and load product in truckload or less than quantity according to the relevant picking document
• Unload required incoming materials and products and transport them to the assigned storage area
• Unless otherwise specified, inventory rotation on both raw and finished goods will be the “FIFO” (first in first out) system
• Store case goods in a manner to ensure safety, quality and proper space utilization
• Must successfully pass OSHA certified forklift certification
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Must learn and adhere to the Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures
• Must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn the IFS, ALS and Scan works WMS systems
• Evaluate and determine the correct method of loading various equipment to ensure a safe and legal load (weight distribution)
• Palletize case goods according to individual distributor’s needs
• Knowledge of all pallet pattern/ties and full pallet units required
• Participate in all warehouse functions (housekeeping, safety meetings, rework, etc.)
• Perform tasks per written and verbal instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

• Drive/back up STN Bobtail trucks
• Safe work habits

Knowledge of

• Pallet patterns/ties and full pallet units required
• Wine sizes, vintages, varieties and alcohol percentages
• Weight distribution in loading trucks

Ability to

• Inspect vehicle and dock equipment for problems
• Read and write English
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to get the job done, and an ability to work under the direction of others
• Communicate with staff
• Work under pressure

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 50 lbs.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

• Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
