Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking Experienced Lift Maintenance Technicians to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on SMR lift facilities. You will work with mechanical and electrical systems, under the lead of the lift maintenance manager, ensuring safety and continuity of service.

The role requires at least 2 years of lift maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work outdoors in all weather. A tool allowance and benefits are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years lift maintenance experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: Driver’s license; NDT and other relevant certificates preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather; physically capable of lifting 50 lbs alone and 75+ lbs with help.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, services, and repairs to lift facilities.
• Work under direction of lift maintenance manager and lead technician.
• Maintain documentation and records of all work performed.
• Coordinate with mountain departments to ensure safe, uninterrupted lift operations.

Will work on both mechanical and electrical systems.Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:This is an mid-level technical position requiring experience prior having a job offer extended.Technicians are primary responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, services, and repairs to Schweitzer lift facilities. They will do so at the direction of the lift maintenance mgr., and lead technician. These include Daily, Monthly 600 hr. and annual procedures intended to meet manufacture and code requirements.The technician will work individually and unsupervised within their skill set.Work within teams to accomplish departmental task and goals.Technicians are responsible for finding issues with our lift systems through detailed inspection, and repairing them prior to them becoming safety issues and or causing interruption of lift service.As a technician you will be required to maintain documentation and record keeping of all work performed.Secondary Responsibilities:Working closely with other mountain departments to ensure timely, safe, uninterrupted operation of lifts, Proper and concise communication when weather or mechanical issues arise.Specific Job Skills:License/Certifications - Driver’s license, NDT and other job-relevant certifications preferred.Technical - Some Cell phone app experience preferred, we use MaintainXPhysical Capabilities - Able to remain outside in all weather conditions, able to lift 50lbs on own and 75+ lbs with help.Additional - Welding experience a plus. Personal Tools are required.Education/Related Experience:Minimum education required - High school diploma, or GED equivalentMinimum time in related position - At least 2 years documented prior lift maintenance experience, 3+ years is preferred.
