Job summary

TEGNA’s KSDK-TV Saint Louis seeks a dynamic Lifestyle Host & Multimedia Journalist to lead Show Me St. Louis with engaging storytelling. You will host in-studio, report in the field, and craft compelling features for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in broadcast journalism, a strong on-air presence, and the ability to develop original content from concept to air, collaborating with partners and advertisers to tell unique local stories in St. Louis.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in broadcast journalism or multimedia journalism.
• Strong on-air presence with an authentic, approachable personality.
• Strong interviewing, writing and storytelling skills.
• Experience shooting and editing video.
• Ability to independently take a story from idea to finished product.
• Comfortable working with advertising clients, local businesses, nonprofits and community organizations.
• Creative thinker who makes lifestyle content informative, entertaining and visually compelling.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with tight deadlines.
• Experience creating content for social and digital platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred.

KSDK-TV Saint Louis, the NBC TEGNA-owned affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri

is looking for a dynamic, creative and engaging Lifestyle Host & Multimedia Journalist to join Show Me St. Louis, our locally produced lifestyle and entertainment program. We are interested in finding a journalist who can create unique, memorable and well written stories, who can share them on all platforms. St. Louis is filled with incredible people, neighborhoods, restaurants, businesses, nonprofits, attractions and experiences, and we’re looking for someone who is excited to tell their stories.

The ideal candidate is an engaging on-air personality and strong storyteller who is equally comfortable hosting in the studio, reporting in the field and working behind the camera. This person should know how to take an idea from concept to air, whether that means interviewing a guest live, shooting and editing a feature story, creating an engaging live shot or working with a local business or community partner to develop compelling content. Current driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations is required.

Requirements
