Job summary

Sagora Senior Living seeks a creative, high-energy Lifestyle Director to plan and implement engaging activities for residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care. You will maintain calendars, coordinate transportation, and help with move-ins in a resident-centered community.

The role requires a passion for senior adults, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage events that fit individual needs and interests.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in the senior housing industry or event planning preferred.
• Affinity toward senior adults.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and associates.
• Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid driver’s license and CDL where necessary.
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends for special events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement resident activities according to residents' needs.
• Maintain the monthly activities calendar and assist Marketing Director with community newsletter.
• Coordinate resident transportation for activities, shopping, and doctor visits.
• Assist with new move-ins and perform new resident orientation.
• Establish and coordinate the Community Resident Council and attend meetings.
• Operate activities within budget and respond to resident feedback.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Plan and implement resident activities according to needs of residents
• Maintain the monthly activities calendar and assist Marketing Director with community newsletter
• Coordinate resident transportation for needs including, but not limited to, activities, shopping, and doctor trips
• Assist with new move-ins and perform new resident orientation
• Establish and coordinate the Community Resident Council and attend all meetings
• Supervise and operate the community's store
• Listen and respond to all resident problems, complaints, suggestions, and ideas regarding activities
• Coordinate use of all volunteers
• Document history of community with photographs and scrapbooks
• Operate activities within budget
• Serve as MOD as assigned and perform other duties as assigned by management team

What We Are Looking For

• 1 year of work experience in the senior housing industry or event planning preferred
• Degree or certification in gerontological studies, recreation, or related program
• Affinity toward senior adults
• Organization and customer service skills
• Great communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid driver's license and Commercial Drivers License where necessary.
• Required to work some evenings and weekends for special events
