Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator in California to manage daily activities at the Club entrance, resident rentals, and planning of lifestyle events. You will support the General Manager and Lifestyle Manager in coordinating and overseeing customized community programs to enhance residents' lifestyle experiences.

The role involves administration duties, vendor oversight, budgeting, and collaboration with city partners.

Qualifications

  • Must have a GED or High School diploma. Some college experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement large-scale community events to create a customized and unique community spirit in assigned communities
  • Identify, approve, hire, and oversee performance of all vendors for events and programs, including review of invoices
  • Create a monthly newsletter and distribute it
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all community program plans, vendor contacts, financials, event summaries, etc.
  • Maintain a vendor database and foster relationships with community event vendors
  • Assist in executing the board-approved sponsorship plan
  • Identify resources for partnerships and sponsors to enhance events
  • Monitor event expenditures to stay within budget
  • Input data for the community event calendar and update property displays monthly
  • Develop relationships with the City and other providers
  • Provide website and monthly newsletter content for events and recreational programs
  • Collaborate with Welcoming Committee for orientations and welcome visits
  • Support General Manager and Board with administrative tasks as needed
  • Be proactive and seek continuous improvement across responsibilities
  • Deliver messages clearly by spoken or written means
  • Must be able to drive to various locations as part of duties
  • Maintain consistent attendance; evenings/weekends may be required
  • Overtime may be required; handle facility maintenance via vendors within budget
  • Walkthrough facilities and direct vendors for repairs per budget guidelines

Job Overview

The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for the daily activity at the Club entrance, resident facility rentals, facilities, planning and coordinating lifestyle community and events. This position assists and provides supports to the General Manager, both the General Manager and Lifestyle Manager on the planning, implementation, coordination and oversight of creative, customized community events, resident engagement activities, and other programs to enhance the lifestyle experience of the residents. In addition, this position will also have administration duties assisting department managers as directed.

Compensation

$24-28/hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities
  • Help coordinate and implement customized large - scale community events to create a customized and unique community spirit in assigned communities
  • Identify, ensure approval, hire, and oversee performance of all vendors for events and programs in accordance with the Community Programs plan, including review of all vendor invoices prior to payment.
  • Creating a monthly newsletter and distribution of It.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all community program plans, vendor contacts, financial, event summary reports, etc., as required in the standardized format that will direct the activities of the community.
  • Maintenance of a vendor database and development of positive working relationships with all community event vendors.
  • Assist in the implementation of the board-approved sponsorship plan.
  • Identify and create resources that may benefit strategic partnerships and sponsors to enhance community events and activities.
  • Monitor event and program expenditures to ensure staying within budget.
  • Assist with accurate data input for the community event calendar and update on a monthly basis for property displays and Community website.
  • Develop positive relationship with the City and other recreation and community event service providers.
  • Assist in providing content for website updates and monthly news magazine related to events and recreational programs in assigned communities
  • Works with the Welcoming Committee on providing orientations and welcome visits
  • Works effectively with co-workers, clients and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; being willing to accept other tasks when requested, and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds
  • General administrative functions as needed by the General Manager and Board of Directors, i.e., venue changes, posting of flyers for clubs, programs and community announcements and general notifications to membership
  • Apply a pro-active approach to all areas of responsibility and strive for continued improvement and excellence throughout
  • Must deliver messages timely, either verbally or in written form
  • Must be able to hear and speak in order to receive telephone calls and interact with clients as well as take clear messages
  • Other items that may be required as part of position based upon Board of Directors’ requests/FirstService Residential supervisor, or as deemed appropriate
  • Must be able to drive to various locations as part of job duties
  • Consistent and regular attendance is required
  • Evening and weekend work may be required based on business needs
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs Facility Maintenance:
  • Responsible for walkthroughs of the facilities, and to direct responsible vendor for repairs and in accordance with budget guidelines.

Education & Experience
