Job summary

KAW NATION in Newkirk, OK seeks a Behavioral Health clinician with LPC or LCSW credentials to provide counseling across the lifespan. A Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work and Oklahoma licensure are required, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The role involves using CBT/DBT approaches, coordinating with healthcare teams, and maintaining patient records. A pre-employment drug screen will be conducted, and a valid driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field.
• Current Oklahoma license (LCSW or LPC) or similar credentials.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of diagnostic techniques and treatment therapies in behavioral health.
• Experience with crisis intervention.
• Experience across lifespan (children to adults) and substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Valid driver license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
• Provide counseling to individuals, groups, and families across the lifespan.
• Apply CBT, DBT or other therapies to aid behavioral change.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers for comprehensive care.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate clients and families about mental health and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate client records in compliance with confidentiality laws.
• Assist clients in identifying situations affecting recovery.
• Refer to additional resources like support groups or inpatient treatment.
• Stay current with behavioral health research and developments.
