Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch is seeking Lifeguards to ensure guest and staff safety at the aquatic facilities. You will monitor pools, enforce rules, perform water rescues, administer first aid, and help with facility upkeep.

The role supports a community-focused mission at a high-altitude site near Rocky Mountain National Park. Current lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications are required or willing to certify; experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguarding certification (American Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis, or equivalent) and CPR/AED required or willingness to certify.
• Previous lifeguarding experience preferred.
• Ability to meet endurance requirements for rescues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned pool areas; respond quickly to emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and safety policies; warn swimmers as needed.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool, deck and facilities.
• Complete safety checklists and records accurately and on time.
• Attend trainings and stay current on lifeguarding skills.
