Job summary

Provo City Recreation Center seeks dedicated Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for part-time roles. You will supervise swimmers, deliver water safety instruction, and provide first aid as needed, working up to 25 hours weekly, including some weekends.

Required certifications include a current Red Cross Lifeguard and WSI or equivalent teaching experience. Perks include free center access, library card, and staff discounts. Training and advancement available.

Qualifications

• Be 16 years of age (or 15 with restrictions) at time of appointment.
• A current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification.
• A current American Red Cross WSI Certification or equivalent AND/OR teaching swim experience.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguard and instruct water safety courses at the Provo Recreation Center.
• Monitor swimmers and patrons.
• Provide first aid and rescue swimmers as needed.
• Swim instructors teach Red Cross sanctioned water safety and swimming classes.
