Job description

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app. Must be a current UNH Lifeguard to be eligible. Lead the UNH Indoor and Outdoor Pool Aquatics Staff during daily operations, including internal and external facility rental group events.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Risk Management (60%) – Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures, enforce departmental policies, provide first aid, ensure teaching areas are hazard‑free, and deliver emergency care until EMS arrival.
• Team Leadership & Communication (20%) – Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations, communicate effectively with lifeguards, facility staff, and patrons, and enhance the overall experience.
• Facility Operations & Supervision (15%) – Represent Campus Recreation, maintain water quality per NH RSA, supervise during lifeguard breaks, act as main contact for community members and staff, lead opening and closing procedures, and maintain safety equipment and cleanliness.
• Additional Responsibilities (5%) – Perform other duties as assigned, present a professional appearance and attitude, and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior experience in aquatics facility management or supervision.
• Knowledge of risk management practices and emergency response protocols.
• CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification preferred.
