Job summary

The Young Mens Christian Association of the Pikes Peak Region is seeking a vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety of swimmers at our aquatic facility. You will explain safety rules, monitor pool areas, and respond to emergencies with trained judgment.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, enforcing policies, maintaining pool equipment and records, and assisting with pool area cleanliness. Candidates must be at least 16, pass a swim test, and complete lifeguard training; strong

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Must pass a swim test and skills assessment.
• Completion of lifeguard training (we offer lifeguard training).
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Available to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing activities at aquatic facilities.
• Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations and policies to ensure safety.
• Maintain constant surveillance of pool area and rescue readiness.
• Monitor and report pool temperatures and cleanliness.
• Respond to emergencies and perform first aid as needed.
• Maintain records and reports.
