NC State Wellness and Recreation seeks a Lifeguard Instructor to teach American Red Cross CPR, First Aid and AED courses, empowering participants to respond effectively in emergencies. Join our Pack and help create a safe aquatic program.

This temporary role supports course instruction, planning, and assessment, with adherence to ARC best practices, and requires up to 20 hours per week. Ideal candidates are current NC State students with ARC certifications and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• ARC Lifeguard Instructor certification is required.
• ARC Lifeguard certification is required.
• Current NC State student eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Course Instruction: Facilitate ARC CPR, First Aid and AED courses.
• Course Instruction: Plan, prepare, and instruct safe ARC courses.
• Educational Delivery: Provide engaging instruction and apply classroom knowledge to lifeguarding.
• Skill Assessment: Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Classroom Logistics: Set up and break down the classroom for each course.
