Cold Weather Alert!

Okeechobee County and Ritelife will open a warming center Thursday, 1/23/25 at 6:30 p.m. through Friday, 1/24/25 and remain open until temperatures are above 40° the next morning. The center may close for the night if no clients are received by 10:00 p.m. The warming center will be located at: RiteLife Services, Inc., 202 NE 2nd Street, Suite 5, Okeechobee, FL 34974.

Job Description:

Under the direction and supervision of the Sports Complex Supervisor, the Lifeguard is responsible for the safety of the patrons at an aquatic facility and must provide information pertaining to water quality, temperature, and other related items. Reports directly to the Sports Complex Supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Enrolled in High School.
2. Minimum of one (1) season of experience working as a Lifeguard.
3. Current Lifeguard Training, Basic Life Support CPR, and First Aid Certificates.
4. Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.
