Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise patrons in pool during open swim, lap swim, and lessons.
• Support Lifeguards and cooperate as a team.
• Monitor deck and pool area for safety and assistance.

Our Lifeguards ensure pool safety in the water and on the pool deck by providing direction and assistance in a variety of situations. Requirements

• 16 years of age or older
• Ability to swim free-style / crawl stroke
• Red Cross Certification (provided by The Alaska Club)
• Weekend availability (preferred)

Working Conditions

• Supervising patrons in pool during open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, and water aerobics
• Supporting fellow Lifeguards and cooperating as a team
• Standing and moving on deck and in pool

Testing Requirements

• 3 laps (untimed)
• 2 min. tread water
• Brick retrieval
